About the Role
We are on the hunt for qualified and experienced Asset Inspectors (x4) to join our team across our AusNet distribution locations at Lilydale, Beaconsfield, Wodonga and Benalla.
As an Asset Inspector you will provide technical hands-on asset inspection services in accordance with the Asset Inspection Manual and other appropriate documentation. All services will be conducted with a high degree of accuracy in the reporting on any components, features and assets requiring maintenance.
The roles will report to the Regional Team Leader.
What you will deliver
- Provide asset inspection services on AusNet’s Distribution network and customer distribution networks as required
- Adhere to the 4111-1 Asset Inspection Manual requirements
- Regularly and methodically conduct detailed examinations of the distribution and sub transmission overhead line systems with a high degree of accuracy, including the invasive testing of wood poles
- Report on any components or other features and assets which require maintenance
- Take digital photographs of assets in accordance with company procedures
- Carry out specified preservative treatments and minor maintenance tasks as required
- Ensure all equipment including vehicles, plant and materials are maintained in a clean, well maintained and good working order
- Be innovative toward and actively participate in improved asset inspection methods

- Demonstrated experience as an Asset Inspector
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
- Ability to work with key internal customers and suppliers across all levels
- Attention to detail
NOTE: Travel throughout various locations across Victoria may be required from time to time. A current Victorian Driver’s License required.
